Color Therapy with Blue and Tropical Indigo

This illustration contains a mix of blues and tropical indigo

blues

This week’s colors in color therapy are bright royal blue and tropical indigo.

Bright royal blue represents: Clairvoyance; a highly spiritual nature; generous; on the right path; and that new opportunities are coming

Blue relates to the third chakra of communication. This can mean that you will be involved in more communications than usual or to increase your clarity in your communications. In addition to communication to others, it can relate to communications with the self, with God and spiritual thoughts and communications. Take the time out to commune with Spirit on a higher level through whatever personal means suit you. In these spiritual communications be sure to listen as well for new messages, directions or insights. Blue is the color of the sky, which is air and also represents thoughts and communications so be sure to keep your thoughts positive.

Blue is also the color of the sea and water represents the emotions and the inner soul. It is a time for peace and contemplation. Keep your emotions in check, making sure that you are not over-reacting to people or situations. The emotional aspect of this week’s blue may help you to release old feelings that may be just below the surface of consciousness.

Tropical indigo is very close to lavender but with more blue. Indigo itself, relates to the third eye or the sixth chakra, visual and pituitary gland. Intuitive, sensitive, deep feeling.

There is a feeling of a deeper connection and a sense of an opening to reach it. You may receive dreams, guidance or stronger intuitive feelings this week. To increase the opening of the sixth chakra, take time for meditation, listen to chakra-balancing music or do some yoga. Indigo relates the need (and the ability) to go deeper within yourself to the God-source.

The lightness in shade of tropical indigo lends even more in spiritual awareness with self-confidence needed to achieve spiritual and personal goals. It can also represent a coming into understanding of who you really are. It is very etheric and imaginative.

If you would like to add gemstones to magnify these properties, add lapis lazuli, sapphire, blue sapphire, geodes or jasper.

Colors can help you to be the best version of you if you put them to use and watch for the patterns.

Sending you aloha and wishes for a colorful week!

Aloha and Namaste

Aloha - Namaste

Although it has evolved into a greeting, aloha is much like the Sanskrit "namaste." According to gohawaii, "The literal meaning of aloha is “the presence of breath” or “the breath of life.” It comes from “Alo,” meaning presence, front and face, and “ha,” meaning breath. Aloha is a way of living and treating each other with love and respect. Its deep meaning starts by teaching ourselves to love our own beings first and afterwards to spread the love to others.

According to the old kahunas (priests), being able to live the Spirit of Aloha was a way of reaching self-perfection and realization for our own body and soul. Aloha is sending and receiving a positive energy. Aloha is living in harmony. When you live the Spirit of Aloha, you create positive feelings and thoughts, which are never gone. They exist in space, multiply and spread over to others."

What a beautiful word and tradition and so very similar to namaste, which in Sanskrit means the universe in me honors the universe in you, and has also evolved into a greeting of respect towards others.

Aloha and Namaste,

Yellow Color Therapy with Plumeria Flowers

Do you see color patterns? Do certain colors just jump out at you on certain days? You may be a natural color-therapist. If not, you may be pleased to know that color therapy is happening around you and influencing your health, mood, mental state and your day as well, even though you are unaware. Color therapy has naturally been with me for many years as more and more I began noticing the patterns, the colors and their effects. Each day I see the colors for the day that effect each of us.

The color for today is yellow. Mostly pale yellow like the beautiful softness of the Plumeria flower, but also a range of shades of yellow. Yellow is the color that relates to the solar plexus, the third chakra. In regard to the body, this relates to the spleen, the nervous system the endocrine glands, the pancreas and issues with blood sugar, ulcers and anything in the mid-body area.

Mentally, the color yellow is intellectual and applies to your learning and growth, studious efforts, understanding, concentration and good mental clarity.

Spiritually, it is a higher level of growth and learning in your spiritual evolution. Sometimes gold will filter into shades of yellow and this is representative of spiritual enlightenment and wealth on all levels of body, mind and soul.

Yellow is uplifting and stimulating. If you begin to notice the color yellow then you may apply the above traits. If there is any browning or muddiness in the yellow then it is showing you that there is work to do in the fore-mentioned areas so that they are cleansed. Chakra balancing and clearing of the solar plexus will help with this.

In the Hawaiian culture, the plumeria symbolizes positivity and is used in leis or to celebrate special occasions. When worn in the hair, the plumeria flower symbolizes the relationship status of the wearer. A flower over the right ear means she is available while one over the left means she is taken.
